Independent artist Renata Sajko returns with Parasite — a dark, alt-pop single that lays bare the emotional aftermath of toxic love. Raw, haunting, and fiercely personal, the track explores the experience of being manipulated and drained by someone who only takes.
Opening with the chilling line “You’re getting ready for your feed,” Parasite builds with brooding textures, layered harmonies, and a glitchy, infectious hook that cuts deep. Entirely written and produced by Renata in her home studio, the track was brought to life with the help of Doug Mitchell, who mixed and mastered the song and added his signature sonic flourishes to elevate the final production.
“This one came from a place of survival,” Renata says. “It’s about reclaiming your strength after someone’s fed off your light for too long.”
